Where?
"What have you done with my Mother?"
Mr Hutchinston looked at the empty coffin.
"Oh dear."
"Don't tell me she went to check her makeup."
Vicki chuckled at her poorly time joke. She was resisting the temptation to strangle this guy.
"Well yes."
Vicki looked at the funeral director.
"That was a joke right? Are you screwing with me? I'm really not in the mood."
"It doesn't happen often but there have been times when the recently deceased get a case of stage fright if you wil."
"What?"
"When a eprson wishes to have a closed casket they sometimes get anxious about a loved one that wants one last look at them."
"So my Mom ran away to check her lipstick?"
"In all my years I've never had this happen but that's what happened. Don't worry Ms Nelson we'll find your mother."
Vicki had no problem believing this after all she was invovled with a vampire.
"Please find her Mr Hutchinson so we can get this funeral over and done with."
"Vicki are you okay?"
Looking at Mike she nodded. After clearing her throat she said, "Mom just wanted to make sure she looked her best for her funeral. I'm sure I'll be the same way myself one of these days."
"Huh?"
