"Ay yi yi. What am I supposed to do? Stupid Zargar just had to take a vacation this month."
Alpo watched the monitor. He had no idea what he should do.
"What kind of Rangers are you?"
"Renee we're the retired kind."
Renee shook her head. She couldn't believe she was stuck with such incompetents.
"Geez Renee we haven't donned the spandex for twenty years."
"Thank you Walter. So do you two have anything to say?"
Derek and Sam looked at each other before turning back to Renee. They both shook their heads.
"Fine I'll take care of this myself."
Walter looked over at Sam and Derek and asked, "Want to grab a coffee?"
"Sure sounds great."
"Great idea Walter."
Derek looked back as he walked off to the coffee shop with Sam and Walter. They did hear Renee muttering something about always being prepared.
"Isn't that the boy scouts?"
Sam was pretty sure she was right.
"I think you're right."
Derek nodded in agreement. He wondered if he could finally get the courage to admit to the burning love he'd felt for the past twenty years.
"I don't need them."
Renee looked around but couldn't see the bird anywhere.
