Episode 1: Disappeared
Sally just disappeared one day out of the blue. Her jazzy power chair was found tipped over and near a tree that she often sat under when she went outside. No one was able to find her so life went on. A year passed and the four friends left behind sat together having lunch under the same tree where Sally had last been seen. Suddenly there was a chorus of beeps.
"What the hell is that?"
Emma started looking around.
"That's our cellphones."
Emma was relieved.
"Oh I thought my pacemaker was on the fritz again."
Savannah just started laughing and soon the three ladies were laughing while Emma wondered about her friends and their mental status.
"I don't know why people are so crazy about these stupid things."
Emma had her cellphone in her hand. She squinted but couldn't figure the damn thing out. Her grandson bought it for her but she never used it.
"I know what you did. If you don't do exactly what I say you're going to pay."
Emma looked over at Savannah.
"Can you find out if my grandson called me or tested me?
"Texted."
"Huh?"
Savannah just shook her head and took the phone from Emma. Heather and Anna were both looking at their phones.
"I got the same message."
Heather looked at Anna.
"Me too."
"So did Emma."
"Who sent it?"
"A."
Emma was confused. Her grandson's name was Tommy not A.
"Maybe this is a wrong number."
The other three just looked at each other and rolled their eyes. Emma was a total moron when it came to technology.
"No Emma we all got the same message."
"That doesn't make any sense. Wasn't there an actor on a soap called A? "
The four ladies sat there until the orderly Jeremy showed up.
"Time for dinner ladies."
"I hope they have Jello tonight for dessert. I need something nice and soft."
Emma just loved Jello.
"Yes there's Jello just for you."
Emma smiled as she walked back inside. The other three stopped to talk.
"We need to meet after dinner."
"What about Emma?"
Heather loved Emma but she was realistic. Emma wasn't going to be much help if they had to come up with a plan to deal with this A situation. It was probably nothing but Heather preferred to always be prepared like a boy scout.
"Forget about her. She's senile so she'll probably end up hitting on Fred again because she thinks he's one of her dead husbands."
Anna and Savannah knew Heather was right.
"So we meet in my room after dinner."
"Can we have Jello first?"
Savannah loved Jello too.
"Of course after Jello I'm not a monster."
