I'm making my way to the library. I don't know what's going on with the street. Maybe they are messages from aliens. Who knows. I certainly don't. Fountains like that make me want to pee. It would be a nightmare to sit down next to it to read since I would have to pee all the time.
I'll admit that it took me a couple tries before I went inside. I was a bit discombobulated when I realized that there's more than a library in this building.
Why yes there's a random train inside. Thanks to people around me I didn't stop to get a better shot of this. There's even a horse. Maybe next time I go I'll see what I can do.
This is where you pick up your holds. Most of the time I just let the people that work at the library deal with that and often the books I want are coming from other libraries. Also books aren't always shelved where they should be unless that is just an issue that Columbine has. Let's say I don't have a good relationship with that library. I think I did a Story Time post about it when I almost got arrested at the library. Mine are on the bottom shelf four items in. You can see the DE and almost the S but not quite.
Something is going down in the teen section. I'm pretty sure it said teen section. The whole young adult thing is relatively new.
Books in Spanish. They even had A Game Of Thrones and The Hunger Games. What book do you think this one is? Come on you have to know? I'm talking about the one on the right. Think Inner Goddess.
Not a series I want to read in hardback. Those bitches get heavy. Sure hardbacks look nice on the shelves but they are a pain if you're carrying one around. All my books stay home and if I'm reading a hardback I only read it at home.
Hello familiar author. I ended up checking out three books. I don't want to check out too many books although I do make an exception for ebooks since they just automatically go back if my time runs out.
I've read this author. I just happened upon it when I went down a random aisle. I just checked and this is the first in a series. Of course it's a series since that's what I find most of the time. I'm just glad it is the always handy dandy paperback. It fits nicely in the hand and I can do my left thumb page turn. That isn't as easy for me to do with the bigger paperbacks. I can do it when I'm not wearing gloves but when I'm out I'm stuck turning the page with my other hand. The book I'm nearly done with is four hundred pages and a trade paperback so it is awkward but less awkward than it would be with a longer book. Out is just crazy. Four women. Murder. Dismemberment. Chatting while dismembering. What's not to love?
I don't know if my phone took a picture of itself because I was holding the book near the window. I heard someone say that Summer Of Night is like It. This is part of a series where It is just one really long book. I was curious so I decided to put it on hold and voila the library came through with it. I also got this book about Wicca. It has always fascinated me and I need to get back into it since it has been a while.
Poor empty shelves. I don't know what's going on with the library but this is where the teen books are. There were some on the other side that I took a picture that you can see earlier in this tour. Well that's my library.
I've always loved reading books so it was inevitable that I'd end up writing about books again. Over the years with the many blogs I have had I would end up talking about books. Thanks to a bit of frustration and a case of the writing blahs I decided to dive in again.
