If you happen to be a mood reader I think this would be a great book to read during October. I'm not really one to do that since I just read what I feel like. I was in the mood for Fear Street and read the trilogy where it was Christmas and it was summer when I was reading it I believe. I was drawn to the title since that's usually what gets my attention first unless I happen to be familiar with the author. That's a result of all the many strolls down the aisles at the libraries over the years. The title and author's name are seen before the cover.
I know this will sound strange but this book is kinda like Frankenstein and Dollhouse only with dolls. Yes if you watch Supernatural or Pretty Little Liars you'll know that dolls are creepy especially if they happen to be walking and talking. I guess the same could be said for Dollhouse too for that matter. Ella is a doll who lives in a basement. A man called the Professor takes care of her. One day he introduces her to another doll who isn't as well behaved as Ella. Ella starts questioning things because who wouldn't if they find out they were once human and are now a Barbie doll. This is one twisted tale that kept me captivated from start to finish. I really love Trylolin's writing style and eagerly await the next book. That was one heck of a twist at the end. I also really love the cover. It is creepy and pretty all at the same time.
