This is the third book in a series. I didn't read the first two books and I'm thinking I probably won't since this book just isn't my cup of tea. I didn't see a need for the prologue. The book literally started off with a bang. I'm okay with sex being in a book but I just found it odd to have it right there on the first page.
I am a fan of vampires, witches, and other supernatural creatures so this book sounded good. I didn't hate it but I do think that it would probably appeal to fans of the Anita Blake series by Laurell K Hamilton at least for those who enjoyed the books after Obsidian Butterfly. This book actually kinda makes that book seems tame which sounds insane but it is true.
I read the first six chapters and won't be finishing it. The writing was fine but it just seemed to be more sex driven than storyline driven. It did seem interesting because the vampires seemed to be run like a mobster family at least how I would imagine one to be. There are also werewolves and hybrids along with witches. I just don't feel like reading about Shelly's moist panties or this guy or that guy's throbbing dick. If you like a lot of sex in books and the supernatural this is the book for you. It just wasn't for me.
