This story starts eight months after the deaths of Sarah's husband and daughter. She's trying to get on with her life but someone is out there watching. As you can see from the cover there's a fire but she's determined to stay in the house where she lived with her husband and daughter. I'm torn about how I feel about Sarah. I don't hate her but at the same time I don't really like her.
I'm not sure if that makes any sense at all. I just don't really like how she seems to think that everyone with a penis wants her. I just wish there weren't four guys that all seem to be potential love interests for Sarah. It would have been great if the cop that's helping with Sarah's case was a female or perhaps her boss at work was a female. I do like that she has her friend Connie.
It might just be me but I find it extra creepy when a situation happens in a book that could happen in real life. I do like that there are snippets of the guy that's stalking Sarah. It allows you to get into his head a little bit and leaves you guessing. I found myself wondering if it could possibly be one of the four men that were in her life or if it was someone that was angry about something that happened with one of Sarah's patients. I did like this book even though there were parts that I felt could have been different that in my opinion would have made the story better. I really didn't like how one of the men that was into Sarah kept thinking about his ex wife. He seemed to want to get back together with her while at the same time he was showing interest in Sarah. Make up your mind dude. At some point I do think I'll pick up the other books in this series since I did wonder while I was reading if Harry and Jennifer's accident was really an accident. Was there more to their deaths? I'm assuming the book before this one probably went into detail about that. I blame all those shows I watch on Investigation Discovery for that kind of thinking.
