The title caught my attention. I just couldn't pass it up so I requested it and voila I was given the thumbs up to read it. I'm so glad I did because this is a great book. I couldn't help but think of Betsy Taylor from the MaryJanice Davidson series of the same name. Betsy and Skye seem like they would totally hang out together and be good friends. So if you like that series you'll probably enjoy this book even though there are no vampires in this one.
I wasn't too surprised when I saw that there's another book after this one since my super power is finding series to read. I still suspect stand alone books are going extinct. People might need to start making commercials about that and while they're at it they might want to think about symbolically adopting me. I'll even send a thank you note which I'm pretty sure a penguin can't do. I am eager to read the next book because of the way it ended. I want to know what happens next.
I really love Skye. She's very easy to relate to. I wonder if her old job is still open because I wouldn't mind having it. Sorry but the sound of being surrounded by books just makes me feel all tingly inside. I also want her shirt that says Books 4 Life. Yes once again I'm envious of a fictional t-shirt. I do wish that we found out what was up with Skye and Oliver sooner but I guess the anticipation was the whole point. I just wonder how things will change after everything that happened with Skye. Yes I'm hoping for her to square off with Blythe. I'm Team Skye all the way. I'm sure most of us have known a Blythe. Yes she's that mean girl that you want to punch in the face. That does make me wonder if Patrick is adopted.
If you're looking for a fun read this is it. I laughed while I was reading this book. It would make a great pick me up if you're feeling a bit down. So pick this one up if you've just read a very sad book or if you've had a crappy day. The cover is adorable. Even though I really want to find more stand alone books I will be adding this series to my must read list. That list is just growing and growing. Well it isn't my fault that I keep finding books that I enjoy written by great authors. I will definitely be checking out other books by this author since I get the feeling I'm going to really like them.
Confession 2: I love to read. I know that's a shocker. I read while I walk which seems to impress some people. A paperback is the best book to read when you're walking. I've mastered the one thumb flip of the page although there are times when the page is being stubborn so I have to use the other hand.
Confession 3: I really love chicken. I eat it almost every day.
Confession 4: I eat soup with a fork and don't eat the soup part.
Confession 5: I'm currently sleeping with six books. Doesn't everyone?
