I will admit that I'm guessing at the name of this book because the way it appears is on the cover is confusing to me. I'm not sure which title is the title of the book or the title of the series. Just me? I guess part of the confusion could have to do with me jumping into the third book of a series but I was able t do it and did enjoy it.
I really liked this world. There were ladies loving ladies and men loving men although the focus was more on the ladies. There's a lady president and it sort of had a Star Trek vibe to it. I did love Voyager which is the only series in that verse where I watched all of the episodes. They are on a ship and on the way to a new planet. It takes four hundred days so they are living on this ship and of course things don't go smoothly. Stuff goes down.
I like how the gay characters were just people in this world. There's a lady president which is pretty cool and there's an interesting batch of characters in this world. There are people called Changers that have powers which freaks out the other people so it isn't a perfect world because of course that doesn't exist. They have visions and they often help save people. There's a budding romance in this book that doesn't happen right away. I haven't read the other books but it wasn't until later on that things started heating up. Reading this book reminded me that I really need more science fiction in my life. I often find myself stuck in one genre for long periods of time which can lead to burn out so I'm still trying to dip my toe into different ones at the same time so I don't go ten plus years without reading a science fiction book.
