Despite having problems with the Kindle app I really enjoyed this book although it was hard to access it because something happened recently that makes it impossible to read books on Kindle. I'll try not to go into a rant about it because this book has nothing to do with that. I was shocked when I found out that this is a stand alone.
Now I'm not sure if I've read this author before or not but I have had her on my radar. It's not like someone followed me around since I was six keeping tracking of the books I've read although I'm curious about how many I've read. Anyhoo this book is about two twins Polly and Charles who grew up on Mars. Their mother decides to send them to earth for school.
Once they get there wackiness ensues because there's the culture shock and something wonky is afoot. I really enjoyed this book. It was easy for me to get into and it was a entertaining story. I will of course read more by this author because I do like her writing style. I'm still not a hundred percent convinced that this is a stand alone because the ending was done in such a way that more could happen although the ending was just fine for a stand alone. I think I liked the story more than the characters if that makes any sense. I didn't really hate anyone but I didn't really connect to any of them either.
