For me this book was a bit rocky. I'm not sure if I was missing a page but it was odd. It was told from the perspective of Rebecca Winters who went missing in 2003 and a girl that was her doppelganger that was getting arrested for shoplifting when she blurted out that she Rebecca. She claimed to be abducted so each chapter went back and forth between both girls from the past to the present up to when Rebecca went missing. It took a while for me to get used to it but it wasn't confusing since there weren't a lot of characters in this book.
I was a bit annoyed that something that I think should have been revealed at least by the end of the book wasn't. It was also left open which makes me wonder if this is the first in a series. It could be a duology since there were questions left unanswered especially with the way it ended. It was a pretty crazy book. I didn't know what to expect. It kept me guessing until the end. That was one heck of a twist that I didn't see coming. It was a really good read but it did leave me wanting answers.
