Roxanna and her cousin Sapphire are both sent to their Aunt Valesca's for the summer. Yes I thought of Xena when I saw the name and will confess that I wouldn't mind having a butler named Albus. Come on that would be totally cool. Do they do bathrooms? Anyhoo they are like day and night. Roxanna has a secret and Sapphire is a nasty person. I enjoyed the transformation that happens over the course of the summer.
I really love Roxanna and her name. With a name like Roxanna Revolution you simply must be into music and as a bonus she's a fellow book lover. How could you not love that? And how perfect is Jace? Watch out Caleb Rivers you just might be bumped out of the running for best fictional boyfriend ever. You don't know until later on in the story what is up with Roxanna but when you do be prepared to cry. Or is that just me? I cried quite a bit while reading this book. I've read books that make me tear up but it has been quite a while since a book has affected me in this way so be sure to grab the Kleenex if you're planning on reading this book which you totally should since it is a great story.
The story is mostly told from the perspective of the two cousins so it goes back and forth but another character Dawn is tossed in here and there. It isn't often when I enjoy so many of the characters. Maybe I'm just weird but a lot of the time I don't really give much thought to side characters but I enjoyed all of the characters in this book. It seems to have a bit of everything emotion wise. Your heart is broken but you'll end up laughing. You'll cry again and your heart will be shattered again. You'll yell at your book. Just me? I suggest you have something light and fluffy to read after since you'll need it since this book is full of major feels. This almost tops the crying I do whenever I watch the episodes of Supernatural when Dean is talking about his time in hell.
