I found out that this is part of a series after I read the book. Yes you can read it as a stand alone. I want to exchange my super power for another one since the one I have kinda sucks. I love series but it would be nice to find more stand alone books. This is a really cute story about a homeless girl that gets the opportunity of a lifetime when she lands a gig that allows her to travel with a band for two weeks.
Yes I admit that I envy her job because it sounds pretty awesome. She's assigned to Will but things aren't as they appear. Anya has a secret but the guy she's supposed to follow around and dig up dirt on also has a major secret himself. I really like Anya. She's a homeless kid that's managed to survive on the streets for two years. I don't think I'd be able to do the same if I was in her shoes.
This book just gives you a case of the warm and fuzzies even though it is a bit unrealistic since I don't see things falling so easily into place in real life but it is a fun read. This is a perfect book for your summer reading. It has great characters and the story is very cute. This is one of those books that would be ideal after reading something really heavy. I will be checking out the other books in this series. If you aren't a fan of super steamy scenes this is the perfect read for you since it doesn't focus on that so it is great reading for those who are younger but I think it will appeal to those of us who are still very much in touch with our inner teenager.
