Anyhoo I heard about this book while watching one of my favorite Booktubers and decided to give it a go. I'm glad I did because I really enjoyed this book. I'll admit that I'm not a fan of back and forthing. I watched the first two episodes of How To Get Away With Murder and absolutely hated the format. I don't mind flashbacks but I prefer things to start at the start and end at the end but there are exceptions to the rule.
This book goes back and forth between the past and the present but it is done in a way that makes sense and it flows smoothly. I just wonder if I'm the only one that thought of Ireland the place instead of Ireland the person. Yes I know that's a name but it isn't a name like Jennifer. I couldn't help but picture Ichabod Crane as the guy from Sleepy Hollow during those sections.
Ireland moves to Sleepy Hollow and things go crazy. There are murders and some weird guy shows up. The story unfolds going back and forth from the present to the past that tells you what happened to cause the insanity of the headless horsemen. I of course had to jump to book two and after that I will be reading book three. Just a head's up for those of you who have Kindle Unlimited you can get the third book on that. I don't think the first two are available but the third one is. Yep I'm thinking about adding a physical copy to my future creepy covers bookshelf. I think these books would look great next to Blood And Salt.
