There seems to be an unwritten rule that every romance cover has to show skin. I'm sure many will enjoy seeing his skin. This is a historical romance and as a bonus since this is an ebook you don't have to worry about being embarrassed if you want to read this book out in public. So go forth and read.
I pretty much read anywhere and don't really care what the cover looks like. I was walking around with a Fifty Shades parody book that had the exact same coloring on the cover that could have easily been mistaken for the actual book. Okay I don't read in the bathroom and speaking of bathrooms stop using your cellphone while you're on the toilet unless you're having a heart attack and need to call 911. Nothing else is that important and do you really think the person on the other end wants to hear that?
This would make a great summer read since it isn't a long book so you'll get through it pretty fast. I tend to read more by mood than by season but I'm trying to expand my reading horizons since I often get stuck in one genre for a long period of time before jumping to another one. I've only recently got back into reading romance novels. It has been quite a while since I can't remember the last one I read. It could have been a Jude Deveraux. I really like Beth. She's a widow that is very outspoken. She finds herself in quite a bind and of course since this is a romance novel a guy enters the picture.
This is the first book in a series. It continues to amuse me how I'm always running into series. At this point I'm starting to wonder if stand alones are going extinct. Maybe they'll need to have a commercial like the ones where they ask you to symbolically adopt a penguin. I am glad that it is the first book since I prefer to read them in order. This appears to be the kind of series where it wouldn't be a good idea to read it out of order. This is the first book I've read by this author and I'm thinking I'll keep an eye out for more of her books since I did enjoy this one.
