This book came out a while ago but I do know that the title got my attention and yes I'll admit that I thought the cover was pretty cool too. Since it has been a while I had forgotten what the book was about but I thought it was screaming some kind of magic. Two teenagers who aren't alike other teens are tied together by the past and a curse that comes along with a prophecy that doesn't bode well for the world.
Taylor is the type of student that I wasn't. She was randomly asked to tutor a French guy in English. Do they do that over there? I thought it was odd that a girl in England would be asked to contact a boy in France about schoolwork. Of course there was an underlying reason for it but how the two came together was just odd but they had to get together somehow and this was how it was done. The two connect and wackiness ensues big time.
Taylor eventually grew on me but I have to admit that I kind of found her annoying I guess because she was the perfect student and oh color me not surprised that her best friend Georgie sucks. I liked Sacha more and I guess that's probably because I would have done the same thing in his situation. If I could make money off a special talent that no one else had I'd totally do it. I do want to read the next book in this series which is out because I'm doing a review on this super late but hey better late than never so I'm glad I found this because I did enjoy it. I am also curious about checking out both authors with their solo books. I haven't read a ton of books with multiple authors but I have discovered one of my favorite fantasy authors that way.
